A little look back at some images from a style shoot we had the pleasure of working on at the lovely Tankardstown House.

Here at Vintage China Hire we love nothing more than a good wedding, so we were delighted when Karen and James asked us to style their autumn wedding. The venue was the stunning Village at Lyons near Celbridge. When Karen and James approached us they had an idea of what they wanted but asked us to add that something special to their big day. We guided them though the process and the results were sensational even if we do say so ourselves!
The lovely couple were kind enough to send us some pictures of the day so we can treat you to a little showcase of all things vintage. So stick the kettle on, sit back on and enjoy!
The first part of the wedding was at ladychapel in Maynooth parish. We arranged for our gorgeous lanterns with a floral display and candles to be waiting for the bride as she arrived. We also provided one of our stunning vintage suitcases to display their wonderful handmade mass booklets.
Not only are we a one stop shop for all things vintage but we also provided the flower arrangements for Karen and James as per their specific request. This is not something we usually do but prices can be provided. They wanted a one off piece to really wow their guests as they arrived. See what you think! We also provided flower arrangements in white vintage style buckets to hang on the end of each pews.
After the beautiful ceremony the couple were whisked away in their very own sky blue Citroen DS and after a hop, skip and a jump they arrived at the Village at Lyons in time for a champagne reception. The wedding guests were greeted by our high nelly bikes and signposts to point them in the right direction.
Karen had somewhat of an obsession with vintage tea cups. She wanted her guests to be drawn into her vintage dream at the drinks reception and we were happy to oblige with our fantastic range of in china teacups, jugs, teapots and cake stands.
As well as the vintage china for the tea party, we added one or two individual pieces of our own to make the room that little bit extra special.
After the splendor of the drinks reception it was on to the main event. Karen and James wanted to make a statement with their table plan and we think we pulled it off for them. See what you think!
Once the guests found their tables they were greeted by a stylish and elegant table display including our decoupage table numbers resting on our vintage books wrapped in twine or burlap and lace, accompanied by a mix of our teacups with flowers or candles. We also designed and arranged the beautiful flower display on each candelabra.
We also provided a little extra for this lovely couple and decorated their cake table and wedding book table. A little gift from us to them on their special day!
Thanks Karen and James for picking us to help make your day special !
